Patrick is a Democratic strategist who specializes in branding and messaging for political campaigns. His approach to campaign management emphasizes methodical implementation of carefully crafted processes and plans. Patrick is primarily responsible for day-to-day operations of the firm, including business development and overseeing the firm's production process.
Patrick has recently been involved in a number of successful Democratic campaigns, such as Rory Rowland’s special election win in 2015, John Rizzo’s successful state senate campaign and Mark Ellebracht’s legislative campaign in 2016. He also managed Independence Councilman Scott Roberson’s reelection in the April municipal election earlier this year. Prior to that, Patrick served as lead consultant on the campaign to raise the tax levy for the Platte County R-3 school district, which won by 10 points after failing the last time it was placed on the ballot. Patrick is the only Democratic operative in Missouri to have flipped more than one seat in the state legislature in back-to-back cycles.
After working five years at a national mail firm based in Kansas City, Patrick founded TJP Strategies with the purpose of electing Democratic candidates who believe in good government. TJP Strategies is based in Kansas City and has been involved in successful campaigns across the state.
Patrick holds a Master of Political Science degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. As the son of an Iranian immigrant, Patrick is passionate about immigration policy and progressive values. He lives in Lee's Summit with his wife, Michaela Rowland, and their yellow lab, Clover.
