Mike Hardin

Mike is responsible for managing TJP’s award-winning design team and spends his day overseeing our creative design process. Mike works one-on-one with many of our designers, assisting in content creation and concepts for some of our best ideas.

Mike has been involved in political strategy and consulting since the 2008 cycle. His design work has been the primary branding and messaging vehicle of campaigns as small as school board and as large as statewide office. In addition to political work, Mike has designed and led rebranding and initial branding efforts for multiple non-profits and businesses in fields from historic preservation to dentistry to real estate development.

Mike led the advertising strategy and served as designer for the 2016 Jackson County, MO Children’s Services Fund campaign, which was one of just 14 new sales taxes to pass nationwide on Election Day 2016. He has recently worked on a series of ballot initiatives in addition to candidate campaigns, including the Kansas City, MO Public Library’s tax campaign that passed with more than 85% of the vote.

A graduate of UMKC for his B.A. and M.A., Mike brings a wealth of experience in political strategy, communications, and design to the table. He has been involved in politics since 2007, when he joined the Jay Nixon for Governor campaign in Missouri. In his spare time, Mike loves to travel, grill, and read, and always loves to spend time with his wife and rabbit.
